Wow! If you want to piss off a firewood guy, just comment on his method of stacking wood. You don’t even have to say anything negative about it. They’ll just assume you’re thinking their way is wrong.
I’ve stacked it up, piled it up, made a giant tee-pee shaped pile, put it in nice wide rows, tight even rows or loose sloppy rows….it all dries.
I’m sure there is a wrong way to stack wood but I believe it truly depends on your space and the room you have to fill. Some guys tarp it, others throw plywood or whatever they have over it, some put it under an existing overhang, others even build beautiful sheds or lean-tos for their firewood.
I say whatever makes you happy at the end of the day and keeps you warm in the winter is great. But if I was you…
